Ebb and Flow captures collective voices and histories exploring the fluidity of gender, Transness and Queerness rooted in pre-colonial histories. Centring a poem created by Queer and Trans people in Leicestershire, It weaves ancestral memory, belonging and global histories of gender and sexual fluidity erased by colonialism. A love letter to ourselves, our ancestors and the power of the collective voice. The piece expresses the ever-shifting, interconnected and uncontainable nature of Queer and Trans existence. We have always existed.
